U.S. Clarity Act Failure Gives Asia and Middle East a Competitive Edge, Apex Group CEO Says

Peter Hughes, chief executive officer of Apex Group, has issued a stark warning regarding the future of digital-asset regulation in the United States.

The executive cautioned that if the Clarity Act stalls or fails altogether, firms operating in the cryptocurrency and blockchain sectors are likely to migrate en masse to more nimble regulatory environments outside the U.S.

Jurisdictions across Asia and the Middle East, many of which have already demonstrated a capacity for swift policy adaptation, stand to become primary destinations for these relocating enterprises.

Industry observers suggest that such a shift could redistribute global digital-asset activity, potentially leaving American markets at a competitive disadvantage as faster-moving regions capture fresh investment, talent, and innovation.
