According to internet sources, Upbit, South Korea's premier cryptocurrency exchange, is set to list four new altcoins, Ether.fi (ETHFI), Resolv (RESOLV), Initia (INIT), and Spark (SPK), later today. News of the listings has already spurred modest price appreciation for each of the digital assets.
Trading for the newly listed altcoins, paired against both Tether (USDT) and Bitcoin (BTC), is scheduled to commence at 15:00 Korean Standard Time (KST), as reported by internet sources. Furthermore, users can anticipate the activation of deposit and withdrawal functionalities within a couple of hours following the initial announcement. It should be noted that while ETHFI, RESOLV, and SPK will operate on the Ethereum network, INIT will be supported on its native Initia network.
To ensure a stable trading environment, internet sources indicate that Upbit will institute temporary restrictions during the initial launch phase. Specifically, buy orders will be temporarily suspended for approximately five minutes, and sell orders cannot be placed more than 10% below the previous day's closing price for the same duration. Initially, only limit orders will be permitted during the first two hours of trading. As per the official notice, the SPK token being listed is distinct from the SPARK previously airdropped by Upbit.
Prior to the official listing, these four tokens experienced fluctuations in secondary markets, information gleaned from internet sources. ETHFI saw a jump of about 5% climbing to $1.69, and at the time of writing, it sat at $1.65, marking a 2.6% increase since Upbit's announcement. RESOLV displayed the biggest gains, increasing by 11.4% to $0.176 and settling at $0.16 with 1.8% up. A 10.26% increase brought INIT to $0.43, later decreasing to $0.39, which is a 1.1% gain. Finally, SPK had a 9.84% boost to $0.067, and at press time, it was at $0.062, meaning a 2.4% increase. These relatively modest price movements underscore the anticipation among investors as they await the official launch of the tokens on Upbit.
