Bitmine, the company spearheaded by Tom Lee, has achieved a remarkable feat in the cryptocurrency market. Their Ethereum treasury now boasts over 1.15 million ETH, a staggering sum valued at approximately $4.9 billion, making them the largest holder of ETH in the world.

This substantial increase, a jump of 317,126 ETH in just one week, represents a nearly $2 billion surge in value. This rapid accumulation gives Bitmine a commanding 34% share of the total Ethereum held across all treasuries globally, significantly outpacing competitors like SharpLink, which holds roughly 17%. This dominance underscores Bitmine's aggressive strategy in the ETH market.

The impact of this significant acquisition was immediately felt in the market. Bitmine's stock experienced a 14.7% surge on Monday, closing at $60 in after-hours trading. This surge mirrored the positive momentum in the broader Ethereum market, with ETH briefly reaching $4,350 before settling near $4,300 during Tuesday's Asian trading session.

Bitmine's ambitious strategy, launched on June 30th, aims for a 5% stake in the total ETH supply. Currently, Ethereum treasury firms collectively own approximately 2.9% of the circulating supply, while spot Ether ETFs hold around 5%. Remarkably, only a dozen companies operate Ethereum treasuries of significant scale, highlighting Bitmine’s exceptional position within a relatively small and exclusive group. Lee's statement regarding their exponential growth underlines the company's clear intent to establish its dominance in the Ethereum ecosystem. This rapid expansion showcases Bitmine’s considerable influence and aggressive market strategy.
