Alchemy UnveilsAgentPay: The All‑In‑One Gateway Unifying AI Agent Payments

08.04.2026 11:23

Web3 infrastructure provider Alchemy has launched AgentPay, a new solution that enables seamless integration of AI‑driven payment protocols from platforms such as Coinbase, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard and Circle.

The company announced the service on Twitter, emphasizing that merchants can now accept agent‑based payments through a single integration, without modifying existing APIs, while new protocols are added automatically. The tool is marketed as simple, universal and future‑proof, with early‑access registration already open.

Fragmented autonomous payment standards have long forced merchants to maintain multiple gateways, each tailored to a specific protocol. Guillaume Poussin, Alchemy’s chief technology officer, called this approach unsustainable, warning that the proliferation of fresh systems would only deepen the division. AgentPay, he explained, resolves the problem by offering a unified entry point.

To use the service, a merchant registers its current API on Alchemy’s platform and receives a dedicated endpoint. Once connected, any AI agent can remit funds using any of the supported standards—such as x402, MPP, A2P, or L402—through that single link.

Poussin clarified that AgentPay acts purely as a routing layer: Alchemy does not hold or manage users’ funds, but merely passes transaction commands between parties. The product is currently in a closed beta phase, with a broader public rollout slated for the upcoming weeks.

Often described as the “AWS of the Web3 world,” Alchemy supplies developers with core infrastructure and node services needed to build blockchain‑based applications. Its AgentPay addition aligns with the growing concept of autonomous finance, which hinges on micro‑ and nano‑transactions that can occur directly between AI agents without human oversight.

Industry forecasts from McKinsey suggest that autonomous, agent‑mediated retail payments could total $3–5 trillion by 2030, positioning this niche as a future cornerstone of online commerce.

Earlier this year, the Solana Foundation introduced “Solana Agent Skills,” a suite of capabilities that allow AI agents to interact with the Solana blockchain, underscoring the accelerating momentum behind agent‑centric financial ecosystems.
