Israel warns Tehran civilians to evacuate.

16.06.2025 18:11

Israel issued an unprecedented evacuation warning to Tehran's civilian population on Monday, urging residents to leave the city before planned Israeli strikes on Iranian military infrastructure. This marks the first time during the four-day conflict that such a warning has been directed at civilian areas within Iran's capital.

The Israeli military delivered the alert via its Farsi-language X account, coinciding with a fresh barrage of Iranian missile attacks on Israel, resulting in at least eight fatalities, according to the Associated Press. Previously, similar evacuation notices had been issued for specific regions in Gaza and southern Lebanon, preceding planned Israeli military actions.

The escalating conflict has claimed the lives of at least 24 Israelis since Iran commenced its retaliatory strikes, according to official Israeli figures. Conversely, Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency reported that Israeli forces had targeted both civilian populations and various infrastructure elements in Tehran, including nuclear and military sites. The Iranian health ministry reported a significantly higher death toll of 224 citizens within Iran since Friday.

This situation remains highly fluid and further updates are expected. Information obtained from internet sources indicates a rapidly evolving conflict with substantial casualties on both sides.
